Homemade Low Carb Pizza

Enjoying pizzas doesn't have to be off-limits for those following a low carb, sugar free lifestyle! Homemade creations can bring all the flavour with none of the guilt. So gather your healthy ingredients and make mouthwatering memories today!

Ingredients
  

Pizza Base:

  • cups mozzarella cheese grated
  • 1 egg
  • cups almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 170C.
  • Melt cheese in microwave in bursts of 30 second intervals.
  • When completely melted, remove and place into a food processor along with all remaining pizza based ingredients. Blitz until dough forms a smooth ball.
  • Divide mixture in half and roll between two sheets of baking paper until desired thickness (approximately 5mm thick.)
  • Remove only the top layer of paper. Cut dough into a circle or just leave as is for a more rustic feel.
  • Place on a baking tray and bake for approximately 10 minutes. Remove and allow to cool.
  • Spread pizza base with tomato paste and top with your favourite toppings.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until toppings are cooked.
