Loaded Bunless Beef Burger

Loaded Bunless Beef Burger

This mouthwatering bunless beef burger is a flavour explosion in every bite. Juicy seasoned patties, melted cheese, avocado and egg topped with a grilled portabello mushroom!

Ingredients
  

Beef Patty

  • 1 kg beef mince
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 green onion finely chopped
  • 100 g feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tbsp paprika

Toppings

  • 8 slices cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1½ avocadoes sliced thin
  • ½ cup baby spinach leaves
  • 4 tbsp sugar free tomato ketchup
  • 4 portabello mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl until well combined.
  • Evenly divide the mixture into 8 equal parts.
  • Using your hands shape each portion into a ball and then flatten slightly.
  • Cover and chill in the fridge for 15 minutes
  • Heat a large pan over a medium-high heat.
  • Add the beef patties and cook for 3-4 minutes before flipping and cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Top each patty with a slice of cheese.
  • Transfer to a baking tray and cover with foil to keep warm.
  • Add the butter to the frying pan and cook the mushrooms until tender. Remove and keep warm.
  • Cook the eggs sunny side up until cooked through.

To Assemble:

  • Arrange some baby spinach leaves on each serving plate.
  • Top with a burger patty, sliced avocado, ketchup, egg, another burger patty and finish with cooked portabello mushroom.
  • Serve and enjoy!
